Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Maria. Before I built Esmeralda Systems, I spent 10+ years as a project and program manager leading enterprise-level projects: M&A integrations, cross-border expansions, million dollar Salesforce rollouts. The kind of infrastructure that makes big companies nearly impossible to out-hustle.

Then I saw a gap in my community: beauty salon owners, lash technicians, landscapers, and cleaning crews working just as hard, with none of that infrastructure behind them, not because they didn't deserve it, but because nobody had built it for them yet.

So I built Esmeralda Systems right here in Toronto, for businesses like mine: Canadian-owned, women-owned, Latina-owned. I know what it's like to be the afterthought, and I wasn't going to let that be the standard. The door's open to anyone who's felt that same gap.

I know what it's like to be underestimated by systems that were never built with us in mind. This is my way of building something that finally is.
